Christ is lord.

Welcome to Hope Crossings Church! We’re thankful that you took the time to stop by. As you browse around our site, we hope you sense that we’re a community of Christians who are committed to the good news, The Gospel, “…that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

By His grace, we live our lives to honor Him by studying His Word, sharing it accurately, and applying it to our lives every day. As we grow closer to God, our relationships with family and friends strengthen. We believe God’s promises are true, and He will use us to bring Him glory in Jefferson, Jackson County, and throughout the world!

We’re thankful you’re joining us online, and we hope you’ll come by to worship with us this weekend!

Our Mission Statement at Hope Crossings Church…

Know God: God wants us to know Him, and our Sunday services are when we focus on learning more about God and how to begin or strengthen our relationship with Him. Whether you have questions about God, you’re new to faith, or have been following Christ for many years, our services are a great place to learn more about growing closer to Him.

Experience Freedom: One important way of experiencing freedom is through connecting with others who are also pursuing freedom. Connecting through Hope Crossings’ Life Groups is a practical and fun way of finding true freedom and learning how to consistently live in it.

Discover Your Purpose: Attend Hope 101: At Hope 101, you will discover what the church is all about, learn details about beliefs, leadership and church government, how we handle money, and what we expect for the future of the church. Discover Your Design (Spiritual Gifts Test): Learn more about how God made you and the gifts He has given you. Also see the various ministries we have, and the ones you see in our future. Then you can decide what area of ministry God wants you to use your special gifts and talents. We will gladly connect you with the people who can help you get started.

Make an Impact: We experience joy and fulfillment when we are making a difference in people’s lives, and we make the greatest impact when we unite with others who are pursuing the same destiny. By joining a ministry team that fits your gifts and purpose, you will make an impact in Hope Crossings, our community, and the world.

Leadership

Chris Stephens, Lead Pastor

Pastor Chris Stephens is the founding pastor of Hope Crossings Church. Chris & Lisa have been married for 38 years. They are originally from Daytona Beach, FL where they met in high school. Pastor Chris was ordained in the Assemblies of God Denomination in 1987, while ministering at Calvary Assembly in Ormond Beach, FL. From there he worked on staff at Lawrenceville Church of God and founded a church in Lilburn, GA. Chris was also an associate pastor at churches in Duluth, and Stone Mountain, GA. In 2004, Chris and his family moved to Jefferson, GA to plant Hope Crossings Church. When they moved to Jefferson, Lisa began volunteering with a student mentoring program and became the founding director of Legacy Youth Mentoring in 2012. With her leadership, Legacy Youth Mentoring has grown steadily to 200+ adults who mentor students. Lisa is employed by all three school systems in Jackson County. Chris and Lisa love family time with their children and grandchildren, exploring new sights, Norah, the labradoodle, and a healthy dose of great coffee!

Micah Lanham, Worship Leader

Worship leader Micah Lanham is a dedicated follower of Christ, and we are so very thankful for him and his family! He truly loves worshiping the Lord, and it shows. He leads us into worship with genuine, honest and humble hearts. Micah, and his wife Whitney, are parents to two adorable daughters, Macie and Charlotte, and son Isaiah! We are blessed by this family, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for their future here!

Josiah & Michelle Davenport, Youth Ministry Leaders

Josiah and Michelle Davenport are fantastic! They’ve been married for 15 years, and have 3 children. The Davenports have been an integral part of our church family for years, and they have excitedly stepped in to serve as our youth pastors. Josiah and Michelle have a passion to study the Word of God and teach Christian Apologetics, which is the ability to give a defense for the beliefs that we have. They understand that the youth of our culture today need to have a solid foundation for the reason of their faith, and a safe space in the church in which to ask their tough questions. Josiah and Michelle create this in a fun, welcoming atmosphere for our middle-high school students.

Kim McKravy, Children’s Ministry Leader

Kim & Mike McCravy are devoted follower of Jesus, whose passion is teaching children. Kim has worked in education for many years, and her dedication to displaying Christ’s love in the classroom is very clear. Knowing that most people become followers of Christ at an early age, Kim is dedicated to making the children’s ministry at Hope Crossings the very best it can be. Kim serves as the director of Hope Kids, ranging in care for newborns through fifth grade. Even just one conversation with Kim will leave you feeling encouraged, inspired and valuable. They are a wonderful blessing to our church family, and we appreciate them immensely!

Deacons are servant-leaders to the Church, as outlined in 1 Timothy 3. We are blessed to have two men serving Hope Crossings as deacons. They are trustworthy, respectable, creative, and excellent role models.

Care Ministry Deacon
